BMW pilot project proves LNG is efficient for heavy-duty vehicles.

BMW in partnership with IVECO have completed a pilot project to test trucks powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) for future long-distance operations. A heavy-duty truck - the IvecoStralis NP 400 – completed a 530 km round trip, which according to Iveco, offered more autonomy while saving between 20-40 per cent in fuel costs compared to diesel. Don’t fight with gas. It is not a weapon!

We informed you few days ago that Gazprom lost a contract dispute with Naftogaz and was the ordered by the Stockholm Arbitration to pay $2.56 B. This led Gazprom to announce its intention to terminate gas contracts with Naftogaz Ukraine. The U.S. Department of State has however, through its spokesperson Heather Nauert, called on Russian Gazprom to supply gas to Ukraine’s transit pipeline, and not use gas supply as a political weapon. Kerala City gas project to commence soon

Pipeline work is currently in progress in Kerala, South India, and is expected to be completed soon. The pipeline is expected to make the city gas project for 156 districts in the country functional. Tenders are expected to be called soon.

Pakistani Senator: Gas pipeline delay due to foreign policy flaw

An IP pipeline project – Peace Pipeline – aimed at supplying gas from Iran’s South Pars field in the Persian Gulf to Pakistan’s major cities has been ignored, according to Senator Sherry Rehman, a Pakistani senator of Pakistan People’s Party. She attributed this to a flaw in the Nawaz-led government’s to a huge foreign policy failure. Gas shortages causes shivers across Ukraine

Outcomes of the ongoing dispute between Gazprom and Naftogaz has led to shortages of gas supply in Ukraine, after Gazprom refused to restart natural gas deliveries. The Ukrainian government has called for measures to reduce consumption such as temporary closure of kindergarten, schools and universities’ activities.
