New LNG test center opens in Netherlands

Accurately estimating the composition of LNG is vital for assessing the energy content and controlling performance of an engine. The first facility with a capacity for LNG testing with a capacity compatible for the processing (downstream) sector has been opened in Groningen, Netherlands. The facility is expected to enable safer and more efficient use of LNG by providing intelligence and operational experience in regulating the variations in properties of LNG from various sources globally. INDONESIA to produce LPG from Algeria

Indonesia is experiencing such an increase in local demand for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which is causing the government to seek ways to produce more LPG from its assets in Algeria. The country, which has participating interests at three oil and gas fields in Algeria – MLN, EMK and OHD fields – is presently considering operational factors to produce the gas. 48 LPG companies operating in India without safety license

The Indian government has mandated all players in the LPG industry operating within the country to obtain the Nepal Standard certification mark for safety, yet 48 companies have failed to comply. Despite agreeing to obtain their certificates within two months, after sanctions against them by the Bureau of Standards and Metrology last December, the companies are still defaulting.
