Dispelling rumors that Iran would receive food in exchange for its oil sales to Russia, Amirhossein Zamaninia, Iran’s Deputy Petroleum Minister for International Affairs and Trading has countered speculations that the country’s crude supplies to Russia is an oil-for-food scheme, saying it is not true and that such deals belong to the time of Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s. Also, the export which will begin next month is part of the Iranian governments’ plans, in Tehran, to strengthen ties with Moscow in the oil industry as well as build closer bilateral relations in other sectors. Electric Forward Thinking
