Ghana to end gas flaring

Gas flaring has been outlawed in Ghana, yet they have had to flare a vital derivative of Natural Gas- Isopentane since 2015 due to a lack of monetization opportunities. According to the Communications Manager of the Ghana National Gas Company, Ernest Kofi Owusu-BempahBonsu, the Company intends commercializing the product to facilitate the establishment of downstream petrochemical and agrochemical industries. Mediterranean Gas issues

Tensions are high over natural gas supplies in Mediterranean areas, with likelihood of military interventions between the many countries involved. The Philippines and China collaborate to defuse maritime tensions in Gas and Oil.

A special panel has been set up between China and The Phillipines to work out how both countries can jointly explore oil and gas reserves in part of the Southern China Sea that both countries lay claim to without having to address the issue of sovereignty. Why NLNG fleets do not fly Nigeria’s flag!

Efforts by the NLNG in the past to help the Nigerian maritime authority have been resisted according to a report by Vanguard Newspaper. The NLNG had previously approached the Nigerian flag administration to fly the nation’s flag, but the administration is considered weak and ineffective.
